Get ready for an important milestone! A decade ago, evidence emerged that revealed details about two early pioneers in Exotic Matter studies: ITO EN, and SoftBank. Since then, they have remained at the forefront of XM research and development, resulting in the creation of the ITO EN Transmuters, as well as the SoftBank Ultra Link. To commemorate this milestone, expect the following from 10 October to 31 October 2024:

Ornamented Portals: ITO EN and SoftBank Portals will be highlighted on the Map screen to mark the occasion and commemorate these XM pioneers. Portals will be ornamented in three batches for one week per batch.
Daily Frackers: Every day at 10:10am, ornamented portals will be Fracked.
New Glyphs emerging in late October:
Researchers associated with ITO EN have uncovered the “REFRESH” Glyph, echoing their refreshing teas and beverages, which revitalize you for your Ingress adventures.
SoftBank’s cutting edge labs have discovered the “SPEED” Glyph, an appropriate discovery given their lightning-fast network which helps keep countless Agents connected in the field. “SPEED” also acts as a Glyph Command, limiting hack output to Portal Keys only - a useful addition to your next strategic Linking operation.
